This homeowner wanted a full perimeter waterproofing system for their unfinished basement. To do this, we installed WaterGuard drainage around the perimeter of the basement. We put the drainage system under a layer of concrete to prevent it from getting clogged with mud or debris. With the drain, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe has a three-pump system that can automatically adjust to meet the current pumping requirements. It also has an airtight lid that reduces noise, but it can be easily removed for service inspections. Then we installed CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the walls, along with putting a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the middle. This waterproofing system will keep the basement protected from any storm, and even in case of a power outage!
This homeowner gave us a call because they had sagging floors which had been an issue for the last four years. After a free inspection, our sales inspector found that their was a lot of moisture in the crawl space, which had weakened the wood foundation. Mold was also growing, causing further issues in the crawl space. In order to fix this, we used CleanSpace and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the moisture problem. To stabilize we installed SmartJacks. These jacks are adjustable so they can be slowly raised over time to attempt to lift the floors back to their original height. Because the jacks are steel, they're sturdy and won't rot or shift like wood posts do. This crawl space and foundation are now protected from moisture and further foundation problems.
This homeowner recently moved in and they were doing some renovation projects around the house.
