This homeowner had damages to their floor joists due to moisture and mold weakening the wood supports in the crawl space. This was causing dips in the floor, which were a hazard. Upon his inspection, Trey found that the wooden supports had been pretty badly damaged due to the moisture in the crawl space. To fix this, one of our crews installed sister joists along with SmartJacks to support the foundation from further damage. Over time the SmartJacks can be slowly raised to carefully lift the floor back to the proper height. Once the foundation was supported again, they encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace drainage matting and liner along with a SaniDry Sedona, to control relative humidity. Now the crawl space looks great, will stay dry, and the foundation is fully supported.
