This customer was dealing with an unstable foundation in their home. This is not good for any home or homeowner, because if the problems are not dealt with in a timely manner, it can lead to further issues such as walls collapsing, and the whole foundation of the home failing, which would cost a lot of money, and put the family out of the home. No family wants to potentially lose their home, or be displaced from their home for a long period of time. She gave us a call here at Atlanta Basement Systems, and we sent one of our certified sales representatives out to see what we would be able to do to help her. Upon inspection it was found that this home was going to need PowerBraces, Push Piers, SmartJacks and PolyLevel. All of these products are going to ensure that this customers foundation is going to permanently stabilized. The PowerBraces are custom fit to the height of the wall, and are secured to it. The brackets are then secured to the floor and joists. These allow for straightening over time, which allows us to do less invasive work in the home. Push Piers were also installed, and these are hydraulically driven into the ground, to the stable soil layer. This allows for transfer of the weight of the foundation of the home onto the steel brackets and piers. This brings the home back to the original level, permanently stabilizing the foundation. The SmartJacks were installed to distribute the load of the foundation, leveling the floors, and tightening everything into place. PolyLevel is a foam that is made of structural grade polymers, and it is injected into the concrete through small drilled holes, and it expands and heightens the concrete. This adds extra stability, and it is water and wash-out proof. Once all of these were installed, this customer had the peace of mind in knowing that the foundation of her home was permanently stabilized, and the family was never going to deal with the issue of losing their home.
