Water had been infiltrating through cracks in the foundation wall. Initially, the home was going to be listed for sale, but before it could do so, a solution to the water intrusion problem had to be found. In order to solve these problems permanently, a free waterproofing assessment was scheduled with one of our expert inspectors.     Both the exterior and interior foundation walls had visible cracks, allowing water to enter the basement. As a result of water damage, the wall was no longer structurally sound. A trench was hammered along the perimeter of the basement floor in order to install WaterGuard. With WaterGuard, water is intercepted at the perimeter of the basement as it enters, preventing it from leaking into the rest of the basement. In order to prevent water from seeping through the basement wall, a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system was installed. As a result, water will drain down the backside of the vapor barrier and into the drainage system. Water that is collected in the drainage system will flow through the channel and into a TripleSafe Sump Pump. A sump pump is generally installed with a drainage system. This ensures that all water is drained to the sump pit and removed from the basement through a discharge line. When these Basement System products are combined, the basement will remain dry at all times.
