The sagging floors above this Lawrenceville, GA homeowner's basement prompted them to contact our office for a free foundation repair inspection. As Bradley removed tiles in the drop ceiling in the customer's basement, he discovered the floor joists were cracked and not structurally sound. He recommended a permanent solution to the homeowner that would not only support and stabilize the sagging floors, but would also help the floor above return to its original position. Bradley recommended we support the floor joists with a steel-reinforced supplemental beam and use SmartJack Support Posts to provide additional support and lift.   After removing the ceiling tile, the supplemental beam was secured to the floor joists. The supplemental beam provides additional support and is anchored to the existing floor joists. This is to ensure that the entire system is stable and secure. The crew created a solid base for the SmartJacks to be installed on in order to prevent further settlement.With heavy-duty brackets, the jacks were then attached to the supplemental beam and adjusted to lift the sagging floors.Resulting in a very satisfied customer!
