Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation and Foundation Support in Avondale Estates, Georgia

This homeowner from Avondale Estates, Georgia noticed that they had sagging floors and issues with their foundation. After discovering us on the Internet, she scheduled an appointment to have a System Design Specialist to come out. Together, they walked through the home and our System Design Specialist pointed out all of the problems he saw and discussed solutions. Besides the foundation support issues, water was also seeping into the crawl space, causing more damage to the foundation.    In order to solve these issues, one of our teams went out and installed 17 SmartJacks and a few supplemental steel beams. SmartJacks are adjustable steel piers that stop foundation settling and raise sagging floors. Because they are steel, they won't have issues with rotting or settling like wood supports have. Additionally, we encapsulated the crawl space by using the CleanSpace Drainage Matting and Liner system. The CleanSpace system acts as a vapor barrier to keep moisture out of the space and it also prevents mold from growing. To further protect the space and keep water out, we installed the EZ-Flow Drainage system along with a TripleSafe sump pump. To finish it all off, we put in a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.   This crawl space is now clean and dry, and has a well supported foundation!
