A full basement waterproofing system was installed by Atlanta Basement Systems for a return customer in Lithonia, GA. During the initial assessment, basement & crawl space repair expert, Albert M. revealed that there had not only been a wet basement problem, but a damp and moldy crawl space as well. The customer was so happy with the outcome of their basement, they were confident we could fix the issues in their crawl space as well.    In order to solve crawl space problems permanently, Albert recommended that the crawl space be fully encapsulated with a vapor barrier and sealing system, perimeter drainage, a sump pump system with an interior discharge line, mold treatment throughout the crawl space, and a crawl space dehumidification system.   First, the crew carefully removed and disposed of the wet and water-damaged debris from the crawl space, and then applied Mold X to the walls, joists, and piers. A SmartSump Pump was installed after leveling the dirt floor and preparing it for the EZ Flow perimeter drainage system. CleaningSpace Vent Seals were used to seal crawl space vents, and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was used to encapsulate crawl space walls, piers, and floors. As a final step, a SaniDry Sedona crawl space dehumidifier was installed with a condensation pump to ensure low humidity levels. Because the condensation pump is connected to the discharge lines, there will be no need to self-drain the dehumidifier.   All work completed by Atlanta Basement Systems was well received by the homeowner, and can now enjoy a cozier, cleaner, and healthier home as a result.
