This homeowner has sagging floors due to poor support in the crawl space. After meeting with one of our System Design Specialists and learning about our SmartJacks, the home owner asked us to stabilize their foundation. To do this, our crew installed 6 SmartJacks in the crawl space. These jacks are easily adjustable so they can be installed quickly in crawl spaces. They sit on sturdy bases so they don't sink further into the ground like concrete blocks do. After finalizing the work, the homeowner was very happy with how supported their floors are!
Patricia G. reached out to Atlanta Basement Systems after noticing sagging floors and a strange odor in her house. After receiving a free inspection, Patricia learned that her crawl space was not properly stabilizing her floors and poor drainage was allowing water to seep in and grow mold. Upon finding this out, Patricia wanted to permanently stabilize her flooring system and also get rid of the extra moisture and mold.
Because floor stabilization was Patricia's biggest goal, Atlanta Basement Systems installed the SmartJack support system to stabilize the floor joists. Additional supplemental beam were also installed, to further support her foundation. Additionally, the crawl space was treated for mold and then encapsulated so that mold would not grow again. To make sure there were no more odors, Patricia also got an Aspen Air Purifier. This purifier can reduce more that 99.97% of particles, and it helps reduce allergies and the risk of long-term illnesses.
Now Patricia has a clean, mold free crawl space to enjoy, and she no longer has to worry about dipping and dangerous floors!
Before waterproofing this crawl space, it was humid, damp, and had a dirt floor. This was letting hot, humid air seep into the rest of the home. In order to correct these issues, Isaiah and his crew sealed off the vents that were letting outside air and moisture into the crawl space. Once that was done they removed any debris and encapsulated the crawl space by using CleanSpace. The CleanSpace will create a vapor barrier that blocks moisture from getting into the crawl space air, but to further ensure the space stays dry they installed a Sedona Dehumidifier as well.
This customer called with concerns of a wet crawl space. Moisture build up is not good for a crawl space, because it can cause problems for the whole home. To repair the damage done in this home, we installed CleanSpace throughout the whole crawl space, and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. With both of these in the crawl space it is guaranteed to stay dry, and to not cause any further issues for this home. This customer was left pleased with the results, and with their peace of mind restored.
Before we got there, the crawl space was unenclosed, dirty, and damp. To fix this, we installed the CleanSpace encapsulation system. To do this all debris has to be removed and then the vents have to be sealed. Next, the drainage matting is laid down and the liner is put on top of it. Then the crew has to carefully wrap the bottom of the piers with the liner. To finish off this crawl space, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to control the relative humidity in the air. Now the crawl space is clean, bright, and dry!
