This homeowner reached out because they were unhappy with the current status of their basement. They reached out to Atlanta Basement Systems to get a free estimate on getting the basement fixed up. One of our System Design Inspectors went out to the house and walked the homeowner through the current problems and potential solutions. The two biggest issues were that water was getting into the basement and this was causing issues with the foundation.

In order to fix this, one of our crews installed multiple PowerBraces to stabilize the foundation walls. These steel beams stop further damage and also straighten out the walls again. Additionally, the crew waterproofed the basement by installing the  WaterGuard drainage system along with the CleanSpace Wall System. Now the basement is protected from water intrusion and the walls are stabilized and strong!

In Bostwick, GA, a homeowner faced the challenge of cracked and unlevel concrete, turning their space into an eyesore and a safety hazard. This customer was looking to get his concrete driveway replaced and repaired. There was a section of the concrete that was all cracked, and was becoming unlevel. There were also cracks all throughout the driveway that were becoming a nuisance for the customer. With the cracks and unlevel spots, they could cause many issues that are not wanted for a homeowner. The cracks allow water infiltration, which leads to wash out and messed with the structural integrity of the concrete and foundation. We sent a crew to fix this customers concrete, and they were able to fill the cracks with the NexusPro crack repair, which is a silicone-based sealant, that will not deteriorate during the natural contraction and expansion of the concrete. They also removed the ruined area of concrete and replaced it with a new slab of concrete. This customer was left without a bumpy driveway and the peace of mind that the structural integrity of the driveway and foundation was upheld.

This homeowner gave us a call because his floor was very out of level. He was worried about the problem worsening and someone falling through the floor. This home had a dirty, damp crawl space that was the perfect breeding ground for mold. During his inspection, Russell pointed out the mold to the homeowner and also explained why the mold was growing in the space. He suggested a crawl space encapsulation, along with a dehumidifier, and an EverLast Door. Our crew encapsulated the space by using CleanSpace to create a vapor barrier, they also sealed off any vents, and installed the EverLast Door to create an accessible entrance with an airtight seal. Additionally, they installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to lower the relative humidity and filter the air. Now the crawl space looks great, and mold moisture are no longer a problem!
