Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Senoia, Georgia

Katherine B. had been living in her home in Senoia, Georgia for over 20 years, but in the last couple of years she noticed issues with water getting into her crawl space. Over time mold started to grow which caused a bad odor to waft upstairs into her home. She had looked into getting her crawl space encapsulated but she was very unhappy with the prices other companies were charging. After meeting with one of our System Design Specialists and discussing solutions, Katherine scheduled Atlanta Basement Systems to do the work.    In order to protect Katherine's basement, it was important to ensure that no water could get into the space at all so mold could not keep growing. The first thing we did was remove the mold in the crawl space by using Soda Blasting. Then, the crawl space vents were sealed from the inside, along with the installation of an EverLast Door, which creates an air tight seal. The next step was to encapsulate the space using the CleanSpace Drainage Matting underneath the CleanSpace Liner. A SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was also installed to remove excessive moisture from the air and filter out mold spores. Additionally, SmartJacks were added to stabilize the floor joists.    Since the completion of the work, Katherine has been able to keep her crawl space dry and mold free!
