This customer was dealing with a wet crawl space when there would be heavy rains. There was a damp and moldy smell in the upstairs of the home, insinuating that mold was growing in this crawl space. This was raising health concerns, because her daughter was beginning to have breathing issues. We wanted to provide her with the peace of mind that her or her daughter would no longer deal with health issues, and that we could fix this problem once and for all. So here at Atlanta Basement Systems, we got right to work and sent a crew out to remediate this wet crawl space. The job began with soda blasting, which is a form of mold remediation, getting rid of it to ensure there would be no health concerns. Then, they moved right on to encapsulating the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage matting and CleanSpace liner. Not only do these two work to keep the water out of the crawl space, but the CleanSpace liner is made with antimicrobials, which prevents mold growth, so those health concerns would never be an issue again. To completely seal off the crawl space, they installed the CleanSpace vent covers, and an EverLast door, ensuring that no moisture or humidity from the Earth could enter the crawl space. The TripleSafe sump pump was installed, equipped with back-up battery, a WaterWatch alarm system and IceGuard. These all ensure that the sump pump will never stop working in light of a power outage, the homeowner would be alerted if the water ever reached a level at which it should have been pumped out, and the IceGuard ensures that the pumps will never freeze over causing a blockage. Now the crawl space is dry, but to keep it dry always they installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which can hold up to 100 pints of water daily, and will keep the relative humidity down all of the time. With the health concerns presented, this customer also got the Aspen air purifier, which removes 99.7% of particles, and reduces allergies and asthma. This customer was left pleased, and had peace of mind that her daughters health would no longer be at risk, and she would never have a wet crawl space again.
