Mold Growth
Due to the high levels of moisture and humidity that were in this crawl space, mold had began to grow on the wood. This causes unhealthy air flow throughout the whole home, causing health concerns for all who live there.
Soda Blasting
To get rid of the mold that had grown in the crawl space, we used soda blasting. It is a form of mold remediation using baking soda, and it gets rid of the mold, before the crew starts encpasulation.
Encapsulation & SmartJacks
To encapsulate the crawl space the durable CleanSpace liner was laid, providing a barrier between the Earth's moisture and the crawl space. This is what keeps the crawl space dry, and turns the crawl space into usable space. The SmartJacks were used to level and stabilize the floors of the home. The steel pieces are installed into the ground, to the joists, and then all connected together. Once they have all been connected, the SmartJacks are tightened into place, immediately leveling and stabilizing.
