This customer was dealing with a failing wall and and as a result of this there was water leaking into the basement of the home. These are two big problems, that here at Atlanta Basement Systems we specialize in and want to get fixed for customers. We sent out a crew to work on this home and they were able to install a couple of different pieces into this basement to not only waterproof it, but also to permanently stabilize the wall. To permanently stabilize the wall the crew installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors and PowerBraces. The PowerBraces are custom fit to the basement walls height and are secured to brackets that are anchored to the floor and joists. This allows for tightening over time, allowing less invasive work to be done. The Geo-Lock Anchors and put into holes in the soil, and then drilled through the wall to the Earth as the anchor. With these combined that wall is permanently stabilized and will no longer fail. To waterproof this basement, the crew installed the CleanSpace wall system, WaterGuard and the SuperSump pump system. All of these parts work together to ensure that no water can enter the basement causing damage. The CleanSpace allows the water to drain behind the liner and into the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard sits below a thin layer of concrete in the floor, and then drains the water to the SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump then pumps the water out and away from the home using drainage lines. With all of these pieces into place in this basement, this customer was able to rest assured that the walls of his basement were stabilized and water could no longer cause an issue.
